Good for you! Your letter was a blessing to read. I admire your courage to stepping l out on a new path. I’ve thought about writing myself (I’m in my early 50’s), but haven’t yet been able to figure out just what that would look like (blog? articles?). It’s hard to step out in a visible way on a path of commitment (scary!). :-) Anyway, I’ll be looking forward to your next letter!
Thank you so much, Ellen! I can relate to the scary part but there's so much value in just starting! What would you write about? I'd love to hear more!
Thanks for asking, Caroline. That's very kind! What would I write about? I suppose it would be similar to what I journal about. It would probably include the lessons and struggles involved in the daily Christian walk as a woman). I love to reflect on the simple pleasures in life and my "favorite things," making much of those: fresh flowers, clean white sheets, my cat, morning coffee, etc, etc.. :-) I like the whole idea of simple living within our stuff-obsessed culture (Christian culture is often pretty indistinct from the mainstream...). Then, there's relationships...including friendships. Books (I'm usually more of a non-fiction reader, at least when it comes to modern literature). Travel. Baking. Things like that. :-)
This was such an inspiration to me! I love that I get to Google and learn new things that you reference in your writing. Keep going, friend!
Thank you Rendy!!
